New CSA Season


Dear CSA members and farm friends, 

The fall CSA is here! After months of planning, planting, watering, weeding, waiting and hoping, I am beyond excited to begin providing your weekly veggies again. Your support of the farm as a CSA member allows us to do this work season after season. We thank you and look forward to eating well together through this 12-week season. 

In the share this week you can expect:

  • 3 zucchini
  • salad turnips with no tops
  • Easter egg radishes
  • curly kale
  • bok choy
  • red or green leaf lettuce
  • dill
  • arugula
  • Asian salad mix 

We are short on waxed boxes for the fall, so please do your best to remember to bring bags or your own box. 

Why no turnip tops? A small and very annoying pest called the yellow margin leaf beetle destroyed the tops of our salad turnips and has chewed lots of holes in our early mustard greens. The devastation to these greens happened almost overnight. My guess is that the atypically warm September we had is to blame for the damage. 

And sweet potatoes are coming soon! We have a huge and very delicious sweet potato crop waiting to be dug from the earth and cured. A broken piece of equipment has delayed our harvest, but we should begin digging and curing by the end of the week and should have sweet potatoes ready by Week 3 of the season at the latest. 

We have a great crew working the farm this fall. Keep an eye out for and say hello to returning farmers: Brandon, Joseph, Chasiti and Dustin, as well as our new crew members Lujan and Hillary, and my sister Lauren! Together we will be harvesting, washing and packing your veggies this fall rain or shine!
